Helping scientists to write and be more productive

FUNDRAISING EVENT!

Focus day

September 15th, 2022

A 1-day scientific writing event. To learn new skills. To block time to focus and write. To get motivated again to write.

All for a good cause! Together we'll raise funds for different causes. You choose yours!

How does this work?

  • Register here below with your favourite email address. Check if you've got a confirmation email (if not, please check the spam)
  • Make a donation to a non-profit OF YOUR CHOICE (I'd recommend at least 25 €, a quarter of the cost of our 2-day retreat)
  • Take a screenshot that proves you've done it, and send it to my email (you can reply to that confirmation email)

And voila! You're registered!

I'm joining!!!

Why this FOCUS day?

One of the most motivating things about this work is to help people. I love doing that daily. Seeing scientists like you getting results. If that's you, maybe you were in one of my courses or got those results from the promotional free materials, articles in the blog, or webinars.

From all those activities, the focus sessions and the writing retreat have been breathtaking. The attendees keep being surprised at how such a simple thing as meeting in silence in zoom can be so powerful.

At the same time, I've been wanting to do a fundraising activity. Because the world needs more than focus and papers. Most students in my courses are passionate scientists, many involved in many different actions. And I admire them, and all those activists that are making this world a better place.

That's how this FOCUS day was born, from putting out there something I have (an online audience) together with my most effective activity at helping you to write, the retreat. Now we just need your participation to make it possible! 🎊

If this is exactly what you need at this moment but 25 € is too much (it's a quarter of what the 2-day retreat costs), send me an email. I'll keep a few spots.

Here is the schedule!

September, 15th, Times are Madrid time (CEST)

8.30-9.30 - Masterclass “Mindful Scientific Writing”

9.30-11.30 - First Focus block

11.30-11.50 - Long break to snack and recharge

11.50-13.50 - Second Focus block

13.50-14.30 - Lunch break

14.30-15.00 - Q&A with me

15.00-15.30 - Office yoga & meditation

15.30-17.15 - Third Focus block

17.15-17.30 - Closure

If you cannot attend all the sessions, no problem! You can just join in and out of the zoom room when you need to. Being all together in there gives you extra accountability when you feel like stopping.

Some past attendees of the writing retreat just schedule themselves those sessions that they need to miss!

And the masterclass, Q&A session, and office yoga class will be recorded and sent to you in case you need to miss one of those.

For those who don´t know me...

Hi! I´m Ana.

Hi, I’m Ana Pineda, PhD and I help academics like you to focus and write. I've taken everything I've learned from more than 15 years of doing research, and helped more than 100 scientists with their writing and productivity so they can feel confident with their work. Through my courses, writing retreats, and free materials like this, we follow a mindful approach to get things done. But the things that matter to you!

My mission is to make this world better by helping scientists to have a more productive, more creative, and happier research life. Should we start?
