Because I want you to have more money.
I work daily with amazing, conscious, and rockstar scientists. Even if we don't work together, probably you are also one of these conscious scientists who want to change the world. And I see that academia would be a better place if people like you would have permanent positions.
More people like you to supervise PhDs, postdocs and train future generations of scientists who put people first.
More people like you to model what is to do amazing science AND be a human who has a life and prioritizes that.
More people like you who felt like didn't belong in academia. Maybe for being woman, a neurodivergent person, or a foreigner.
Yes, I want more people like you in academia. But for that we need money.
And I've learned a few things about getting money I'd like to share with you!

CO-WORKING SESSIONS
These are 3 sessions of 2 hours designed for you to FOCUS and write your paper or proposal. We meet in Zoom in a group setting, and in silence, we work.
TICKET DONATION
As part of being a fundraising event, for every ticket, I'll donate 5 € splitted between the non-profit organizations UNICEF and OpenArms.
REPLAYS
The two classes and Q&A will be recorded and everyone will have lifetime access for a few days. You'll get the replays inside a retreat guide PDF.

Hi! I´m Ana.
Hi, I’m Ana Pineda, PhD and I help academics like you to focus and write. I've taken everything I've learned from more than 15 years of doing research, and helped hundreds scientists with their writing and productivity so they can feel confident with their work. Through my courses, writing retreats, and free materials like this, we follow a mindful approach to get things done. But the things that matter to you!

Why FOCUS day?
One of the most motivating things about this work is to help people. I love doing that daily. Seeing scientists like you getting results. If that's you, maybe you were in one of my courses or got those results from the promotional free materials, articles in the blog, or webinars.
From all those activities, the writing retreat has been breathtaking. The attendees keep being surprised at how such a simple thing as meeting in silence in Zoom can be so powerful. BUT...not everyone can join those retreats because of the cost and because of the time.
So as the start of promotion of "Academic Launchpad", our grant writing program, we're doing a 1-day virtual writing retreat. The price is symbolic. But it´s there because when we pay, we also take it more seriously. And when you take this retreat seriously, you´ll be amazed 🎊
We're making the ticket very affordable (only 9 €!), and we'll be donating 5€ for each person joining in.
This is our third focus day. So far we've raised a total of 1360 € for beautiful causes like Open Arms Sea Life Rescue, Unicef, or 500 Women Scientists. And it still makes me emotional.
