Since 2020, I've been hired by institutions to run scientific writing courses. I wanted to hold a longer period so people could write their writing projects while we were together for 4 months, and that's the coursework of what we do at I focus and write.

But when we help more senior scientists write grant proposals, a common problem keeps coming...you are all very busy. And not everyone can keep committed to our 4-month coaching programs.

So for the first time, I'll host the type of intensive courses I do for institutions, in a format that you all can join. And for my favourite grant type...ERC grants 🎊

This 2-day course will be specially focused on writing an ERC consolidator grant. For those who are planning to submit in January 2026, who have started writing, and who have realised that they can increase their chance of success with the right skills.

We'll follow my proven teaching methodology, where for each hour of class, you'll have 30-min of a writing exercise to implement what we have just learned in your proposal. You'll leave with a proposal where all the key parts are optimised to get that money 💰

Important 💥: This is not a course about the ERC guidelines, and all the information you can find online yourself. This is a course about writing that proposal. And more specifically, to optimise for storytelling, copywriting, and selling yourself as the best candidate.
