What you'll walk away with:

✨ A simple, life-proof system to manage your time and projects. Even with meetings, admin, and a team to lead.

✨ A strategy to support your group’s writing while making truly global research

✨ A grant-writing process you can repeat and adapt. One that includes online visibility, communication, and overlooked funding sources you’ve been missing

✨ Practical tools to reconnect with you, your values and finally feel like you’ve made it (instead of feeling like a firefighter).

What used to work for you doesn’t cut it anymore.

You’ve secured your permanent position or are navigating the tenure track, and now you’re facing a whole new set of challenges. We call it the new level new devil.

Your old systems for managing time and writing aren’t working.

The time you used to have for deep, focused work is being swallowed by meetings, admin, and teaching.

Meanwhile, your team is looking to you for leadership, creative discussions and thorough feedback on their papers, but you struggle to make time, and when you do, you’re exhausted.

Not mentioning that grant proposals, you know, you need aren’t going to write themselves....

The Mindful Productivity system to get things done as a scientist that starts with you

AND IF WE HAVEN'T MET YET...

Hi! I´m Ana.

I'm the founder of "I focus and write", where we help scientists like you focus and write with a mindful approach. One that got us published in Nature here and here. Since 2020, we've worked with hundreds of scientists from different fields and at different stages in their careers.

I've taken everything I've learned from more than 15 years of doing research. Through my courses, writing retreats, and free materials, we follow a mindful approach to getting things done. But the things that matter to you!

My mission is to make this world better by helping scientists have a more productive, more creative, and happier research life. Should we start?

FAQ

How do I know if the Thriving PI Summit is right for me?

If you’re a Principal Investigator (or on the path to becoming one) who’s feeling overwhelmed by new responsibilities—juggling time, mentoring, publishing, and funding—this summit is for you! You’ll learn strategies, systems, and mindset shifts tailored to your unique challenges.

Are the presentations live?

The presentations are pre-recorded and released on a schedule to ensure a smooth experience. However, I will be active in the Slack community, and some of our speakers will join us to answer your questions.

How long will I have access to the presentations?

Your free ticket includes 48-hour access to each presentation after its release. Want more time? Upgrade to the All-Access Pass for lifetime access, a private podcast feed, and extra resources.

Will speakers get my email address?

Nope. When you register, you’ll be added to our I Focus and Write email list to receive summit updates and access links. After the summit, you’ll stay connected with us, but you can unsubscribe anytime. Speakers will only get your email if you choose to opt in for their bonuses or freebies.

Will there be captions?

Yes! All presentations will have closed captioning, and notes are available with the All-Access Pass.

I'm doing my PhD/Postdoc, can I join the summit?

Absolutely! Although the summit is designed with PIs in mind, most of the things you'll hear will help you right now and will inspire you for when you get to that later stage in your career. And you can invite your PI to join us, too!

When is the summit happening?

The Thriving PI Summit will run from June 23–26, 2025. Once you register, you’ll also be invited to join our exclusive Slack community where you can connect with other attendees before and during the summit!

What if I can’t attend live?

The presentations are pre-recorded and will be available for 48 hours with your free ticket, so you can catch them at a time that works for you. However, we encourage you to block out time during summit week to dive into the sessions! If you can’t make it all, consider upgrading to the All-Access Pass, which gives you lifetime access to all presentations, plus exclusive bonuses.

Why is this event free?

Great question! At I Focus and Write, we love hosting free events as part of how we connect with and support our community. It’s a way for new people to discover and experience our work, and maybe even join one of our paid programs.

For some of our amazing speakers, it’s the same. Others just couldn’t say no 🥰. But most importantly, we’re all passionate about helping academics create a thriving research life. 🎉
